My name is Sam Long and I am 15 years old. Now at 133 pounds I race 125B and 250B. I started racing every weekend, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday starting at the age of 5. March thru October I race 3 - 4 races per day every weekend. From that point my passion for motocrossing started to grow and continues to grow more each day.
During the summer of 2006, I lived and trained with Chad Johnson. Chad is the National Arena Cross Champion.
I was home schooled for the 2006 - 2007 school year so I could focus on motocrossing. During that time I moved down to Georgia and then to Florida where I trained. I then returned to Wisconsin during March 2007 to start the racing year out. During my regional in Millville, Minnesota I took the whole shot and was running in fourth when I was taken out. The next day I was hit again and injured my knee and ended my 2007 season.
After ending my 2007 season short, I am coming back even stronger. My goal is to take advantage of the Kawasaki and Yamaha Contingency in Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois, and Missouri. My hard work and efforts will help me place in the Amateur National.
